The seventh edition of Transfiere, European Forum for Science, Technology and Innovation, farewell its seventh edition with an increase in all participation indicators, confirming the role of the event as the most relevant tool of the Spanish R & D & I system for promote the transfer of knowledge between research and business. The meeting, which has recorded more than 4,500 visits in a day and a half of work, has had more than 1,700 public and private entities represented, linked to the strategic sectors of the Spanish economy and those with more potential for internationalization, in the case of aeronautics and aerospace; agrifood, energy, industry, infrastructure and transport, environment, Spanish technology platforms, health and information and communication technologies.
This year, as a novelty, it has integrated innovative business groups and has fostered open innovation through the launching of technological challenges by leading companies -ertec Solutions, Fundación Repsol and Endesa- and market consultations by public services, operations that will be translated, in the coming months, into concrete cooperation agreements. Thus, representatives of companies and researchers – more than 5,300 groups represented, the largest number so far – have held around 5,500 work meetings.
